As a Business Development Representative, you will drive new business growth by identifying market opportunities, engaging financial institutions, and presenting high-value data solutions. This role offers significant revenue impact, exposure to senior stakeholders, and opportunities to collaborate with expert sales, product, and analytics teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets while building a strong pipeline across banks, insurers, and asset managers
    • Generate qualified leads through outbound prospecting, targeted outreach, and collaboration with marketing and relationship managers
    • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client pain points and propose customised financial intelligence solutions
    • Demonstrate platform capabilities and explain how tools integrate into client workflows
    • Track industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments influencing financial institutions
    • Build trust-based relationships and ensure client satisfaction through responsive support
    • Manage the entire deal cycle including contracts, order processing, and coordination with Product, Legal, and Finance teams

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 5+ years in client-facing or analytical roles within investment banking, private equity, asset management, or financial data firms
    • Proven success in quota-carrying sales positions with a hunter-oriented approach
    • Strong understanding of financial institutions and capital markets
    Soft Skills:
    • Results-driven mindset with entrepreneurial energy
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
    • Collaborative team player effective across departments and global teams
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Native
    • English: Business level

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience selling financial data, SaaS platforms, or workflow tools to buy-side or sell-side institutions
