In this role you will:
- Deeply understand target segments/audiences, creating an integrated communication plan, spanning multiple markets and channels
- Define brand strategy and its relationship to wider company strategy
- Plan and conduct brand & media campaigns to improve perceptions, awareness and affinity
- Cultivate close relationships with key media and industry influencers
- Continuously evaluate trends, competitors, technology, perceptions of the company in market and company performance to inform internal decision making in product and strategy
- Secure our place at the most impactful events, industry awards and media opportunities, including preparation of applications, talking points, presentations, and other collateral
- Nurture your direct reports through mentoring, coaching and critical experience development
- Implement, manage and internally communicate performance metrics, acting on the results for maximum positive impact on brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention
- Maintain and further develop our library of brand marketing assets
- Energetically promote, and rally the company behind, the vision for the brand
- Prepare budgets, plan expenditure, analyze budget variance and initiate corrective action
We are looking for:
- An exceptional communicator in Japanese and English, with the ability to craft a compelling brand story and champion it to leadership, team members and partners
- An analytical and logical thinker, you are high performing, always seeking to improve results, and expert at working across teams and functions
- Minimum 10 years combined marketing, communications and/or business development experience, in consumer or enterprise technology businesses
- MBA, relevant advanced degree or related experience (bachelor’s degree minimally required
