A leading Series A fintech startup in Japan is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive financial operations, shape capital strategy, and lead fundraising efforts toward an ambitious IPO. The ideal candidate will work side-by-side with the CEO and leadership team to scale operations, guide M&A opportunities, and oversee legal and compliance functions during an exciting growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and operations
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership on scalable growth strategies
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital, audits, and reporting
• Drive M&A discussions and evaluate acquisition targets
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal governance
• Manage investor relations, banking partnerships, and ASEAN expansion initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 7-15 years of experience in finance, ideally as a startup CFO or from an investment background
• Strong track record in IPO, M&A exit, or fundraising execution
• Experience in PE/VC, investment banking, or corporate finance preferred
• Proven leadership and ability to work in founder-led organizations
• Japanese: Fluent; English: Business-level
• CPA or MBA preferred (not required)
