Roles/Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and review complex commercial agreements, particularly within areas like partnerships, intellectual property, and strategic transactions.
- Advise on compliance and regulatory matters across Japan and other regions, contributing to business risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal matters, including risk assessment and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with legal teams in different jurisdictions to support multi-regional initiatives.
Required skills
- Experience: 7+ years in legal roles, ideally within corporate or in-house settings.
- Qualifications: Legal certification and full business proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Skills: Deep knowledge of commercial contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred skills
- Background in the finance or technology sectors.
- Strategic and detail-oriented with experience in managing transactional legal matters.
Personal Attributes
- Independent, proactive thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Must speak Japanese Native
