The Specific Duties Are As Follow:

• • Using the financial payment service “Merpay” and the cryptocurrency/blockchain service “Mercoin” as starting points, we designed the UX to understand the overall product structure of the flea market app “Mercari” and integrate new functions.
  • “Merpay/Mercoin” UI design (iOS/Android app, desktop/mobile website)
  • Specifications for both consumer and business services
  • Tools used/development environment
    • Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator(Adobe Creative Cloud全般), Slack, etc. / Mac

A unique challenge

• This company and others exist as one of the “features” of the flea market app “Mercari.” Therefore, rather than just thinking about the company and other company when designing, we need to consider ways to express the service in a way that is easy to understand for customers who first visit the company service. This requires a broader perspective, which makes it more difficult, but it also makes for an exciting experience.

• While the flea market app “Mercari” and the B2C marketplace “Mercari Shops” feature product photos, Merpay/Mercoin do not have easily recognizable objects. This means that it is necessary to create objects while incorporating all sorts of metaphors from everyday life, making the existence of designers extremely important. The fact that there are so many situations in which the value of design can be demonstrated is a unique feature of Merpay/Mercoin.

• You can experience the process of growing into a marketplace where any value can be exchanged in addition to goods and credit. By working on the cryptocurrency business, a new market and industry, the company will create an environment where financial services can be used more easily, such as by providing the ability to receive sales proceeds in Bitcoin and the company, which goes beyond payment and remittance functions to provide credit, cryptocurrency and asset management functions in one wallet. Furthermore, by working on blockchain technology that enables value exchange, we will create a new form of transaction that allows anyone to easily exchange any value, such as services and digital content, not just goods and money, such as NFTs (Non-fungible tokens).

• “Smoothly circulating value.” The worldview of the product that the company wants to create goes beyond the scope of the company’s design. For designers, this is a big challenge, aiming to realize it in a new field.

Necessary conditions

• People who can empathize with the mission and values ​​of the company Group and each company
• Those who are proficient in using the the company app
• Experience in UX/UI design and design for services and apps
• Basic knowledge of mobile UI design (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design, etc.)
• The ability to understand requirements, embody them in a design, and verbalize them
• Practical experience using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
• A portfolio that shows off your skills to the fullest (any format)
